George William Farrell

Dover - George William Farrell passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Kent General Hospital, Dover.
George retired as a Sergeant with the Delaware State Police, after serving for over 13 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police; and a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, 3rd Degree. In his free time, he enjoyed puttering around the house inventing or improving things, and doing woodworking.
George was preceded in death by his son, William Bricen Farrell.
George is survived by his wife of 30 years, Shirley Ann (Carter) Farrell; six children, Duane P. Farrell and wife, Lori, of Dover, Steven Dear and wife, Tracie, of Pueblo, Colo., Crystal Trythall and husband, Rory, of Camden, Kimberly Mullens and husband, Michael, of Chesapeake City, Md., Terrie Rhoades and Tracy Rhoades, of Greeley, Colo.; sister, Katherine Webb and husband, Thomas, of Dover; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may gather one hour before.
