George Jason Kohout, 21
DOVER - George Jason Kohout of Dover died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007. He was 21.
Mr. Kohout was born Jan. 31, 1986, in Dover, to Mark Francis Kohout and Kim Denise Vaughn.
He worked as a carpenter for Buckley Builders for the last two months. Prior to that he worked at Gateway Construction for four years as an equipment operator.
Mr. Kohout played football and lacrosse for Polytech High School.
He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and all types of water sports.
Mr. Kohout loved visiting the family farm in Missouri, going to the drag races at Delmar Speedway and playing the slots at Dover Downs.
He was very close to his family and was a great uncle to his niece and nephews.
Mr. Kohout is survived by his father and stepmother, Mark and Helene Kohout of Hartly; his mother, Kim Denise Vaughn of Dover; his grandfather, George Kohout of Smyrna; his grandmother, Nellie Vaughn of Clayton; his brother, Mark F. Kohout Jr. of Greenwood; a stepbrother, Shane Smith of Dover; his sisters, Shannon Kohout of Dover, Dawn Kohout of Hartly and Megan Kohout of Dover; four nephews; one niece; and his best friend and fishing buddy, Justin Werzel.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a charity of choice.
