George 'Wayne' Haass Sr., 69 GREENWOOD - George "Wayne" Haass Sr., of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008 in his home. He was 69. He was born in Milford, a son of the late George and Irene Haass. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a great grandson. George or Wayne as he was known as a young man, proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and later worked in sales most of his life. His family will remember him for his enjoyment of saltwater fishing, taking photographs and sitting at Spence's Bazaar. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He dearly loved his family, life, and made every day count. Mr. Haass is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Haass of Greenwood; step-mother, Barbara Haass of Annapolis, Md.; sons, Richard Haass of Camden, Ron Haass of Dover, Carl Haass of Union Bridge, Md. and George W. Haass Jr. of Smyrna; daughters, Donna Nicodemus of Boonsboro, Md. and Irene Bienick of Pa.; brother, Ron Haass of Newark; his sisters, Barbara Spruill of Camden, Cyndi Haass of Tenn.; a step-sister, Julie of Annapolis, Md.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Meg, Sara, Victoria, Patty, Christina, Amber, Stephanie, Kimberly, Sarah, Vincent, Richard, Gage, and Patrick; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. His special girls, Goldie, Sadie, and Ginger also survive him. A funeral service was held in the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St. Laurel, 19956 on Aug. 19, 2008. The Rev. Wayne Musgrove will officiated. Burial was in Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro, where he received full Military Honors. Online condolences can be made by visiting
