George Bruce Hill, Jr., of Delmar, DE, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025.
Born in Salisbury on November 18, 1978, and raised in Princess Anne, he was the son of George Bruce Hill, Sr. and Audrey Diane Holt Cornelius, both of Princess Anne.
He was a graduate of Washington High School Class of 1996 and worked at Merck in Millsboro, DE as a
Specialist, Planning and Scheduling. He previously worked at Cadista and Wal-Mart.
Bruce was a big music fan and played guitar in his band, “Think Fast”. He loved to read, go on cruises, ride his motorcycle, and spend time with his friends at Loakal Branch Brewery in Delmar. In his younger years he enjoyed skateboarding and going fishing with his Dad.
He is survived by his father, George Bruce Hill, Sr.; his mother and step-father, Audrey and Charles Cornelius; his sister, Brittany Vickers; his niece and nephews, Maci Kelley, Abel Vickers and Holt Vickers; his aunts and uncles, Cindy Powell (Rick), Brooks Holt (Cathy), Vicki Holt, Virgil “Tommy” Leath, Jr. (Anne), and Cynthia Leath; his cousins, Kelly Powell (Charlie), April Stimis (Jason), Stephanie Cochran (David), Heather Norfolk (Allen), John Bradford, Shawn Widdowson, Stacey Widdowson, and Steven Widdowson; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bonnie Leath, J.B. Holt, Lucille Hill, and Paul Hill; and his cousin, Timothy DuVall, Jr.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11 AM at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where a visitation was held from 10-11. Interment followed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bruce may be made to Delmar Public Library, 101 N. Bi-State Blvd., Delmar, DE 19940; or Delmar Police Department, 102 S. Penn Avenue, Delmar, MD 21875.
