DOVER - George A. Dunning, Jr. passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016. George worked as a loan officer at Mid- Atlantic Farm Credit for 26 years. He loved to travel and spend time with his family, especially his two granddaughters. He was a member of the Delaware Agriculture Museum Board of Directors and also an active member of the Kenton Ruritans. He is survived by his mother, Maxine Dunning; his wife, Lynda Dunning; his daughter and son-in-law, Apryl and Bill Peppard; his granddaughters, Emily and Abigail; his brothers and their wives, Jerry and Candace Dunning, Doug and Jackie Dunning, his nephew, Josh Dunning and his wife and son, Allison and Rory; his nephew, Brandon Dunning and his wife and daughter, Jessica and Nola; as well as two brothers-in law, Richard and Philip Roach. The family will be receiving those wishing to pay their respects at Belmont Hall on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to the Smryna High School FFA Program c/o Smyrna School District Central Office, 82 Monrovia Avenue, Smyrna, DE, 19977.
