Geneva Mae Jackson, 59
DOVER - Geneva Mae Jackson of Dover departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in her home. She was 59.
She was born July 14, 1948, in Florida, daughter of George Jackson and Eva Mae Jackson.
She graduated from William Henry Middle School.
Geneva was a well-known respected person.
She enjoyed raising plants, doing crossword puzzles and taking courses to better herself, but her passion was fishing.
At times she was shy and soft spoken.
Geneva was a beautiful person inside and out and was always down to earth and never afraid to get dirty.
Her heart was generous.
She raised her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Geneva was truly a country girl; from planting vegetables to eating muskrat and grits.
In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by one son, Frances Eugene Brooks; three sisters, Viola Smith, Pearlene Jackson and Leretha Jackson; and four brothers, George Jackson, Robert Lee Jackson, Eddie Clarance Jackson and Jerry Jackson.
Geneva is survived by the father of her children, Frances E. Brooks of Camden; four daughters, April Cintron, Robbin Brooks, Pamela Brooks and Johnetta Brooks, all of Dover; two sisters, Katherine Jackson and Rosanna Smith, both of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, Keyanna Brooks, Levert Brooks, Shampain Brooks, Nykia Jones, Shaniqua Brooks, Demetric Brooks and Donyetta Brooks; one great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Linda Cain of Newark; and a multitude of nephews and nieces and numerous friends.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
