SEAFORD - Gene B. Midgette, Jr. was born Aug. 26, 1964 to Shirley Mackey and the late Gene Midgette, Sr. He departed this life on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 at Christiana Care Hospital, Newark, Del. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Shirley Mackey; stepfather, Henry Mackey both of Millsboro; his wife, Audrey Midgette of Seaford; two sons, Gene (Kandi) Midgette, III of Dagsboro, and Handsome Midgette of New Castle; two daughters, Nydashia James and Jasha Price of New Castle; two stepchildren, Melody Palmer and Jermar Thompson of Seaford; one god-daughter, Monchelle Waters of Frankford; three brothers, Brian (Amy) Andrews of Dover, Jerry Midgette of New Orange, N.J., and Greg Williams of Wilmington; seven sisters, Tina Midgette of Millsboro, Glenda (Troy) Bowden of Georgetown, Carmean Reynolds of Georgetown, Bridgette Reynolds of Ellendale, Martha Midgette of Brooklyn, N.Y., Alicia Blanchard of Wilson, N.C. and Valerie Mann of Seaford; and his mother-in-law, Wanda Thompson of Seaford; and a host of neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. There will be a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at St. John 2nd Baptist Church, 26602 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966. Friends may call two hours prior.
