Gary T. Mattox, 69
CORDOVA, Md. - Gary T. Mattox, of Cordova, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at his home with his children attending him. He was 69. Born in Spindale, N.C., Gary was the son of the late Mary Flynn (Mattox) Paetsch and the late Thomas Jefferson Mattox. Gary was a master pipefitter and welder for the Pipefitter's Union Local #782 in Seaford. He was a past member of the Cordova Volunteer Fireman's Association, the Easton Moose Lodge #1520, and the Easton Bowling League. He was an avid commercial waterman and hunter. Mr. Mattox was well known at many auctions in the area. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. Mr. Mattox is survived by one daughter, Debbie Teat and her husband Jimmy E. of St. Michaels; one son, Michael G. Mattox and his wife Tammy of Queen Anne; two brothers: Larry J. Mattox and his special friend Linda Sullivan of Merced, Calif., and Jimmie E. Mattox and his wife Linda of Frankford, Del.; one sister, Dianne Fissel of Newport News, Va.; four grandchildren, Lisa Pinder Rash of Easton, Angel Pinder Eason of Cordova, Lori Pinder of St. Michaels, and Ki Mattox of Queen Anne. He was preceded in death by one brother, T. Carry Mattox; and a niece, Suzanne Mattox. A private graveside service was held Saturday, July 25th, in Greenmount Cemetery in Hillsboro.
