Gary Lyn Oscar Pettyjohn

Pettyjohn, 54 DOVER - Gary Lyn Oscar "Boboy" Pettyjohn, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 in his home. Boboy was born, Dec. 28, 1957, in Milford to the late Lemuel and Elsie Mae (Henderson) Pettyjohn. He had worked most of his life in construction, and enjoyed gardening. He liked animals, especially his dogs. Gary was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Bridgeville, where he ran track and played football, wearing #44. Boboy was a member of the Center of Faith, Church of God in Christ, in Dover; he was a Deacon and served on the finance committee. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Sharon and Maurice Pettyjohn. Boboy is survived by three sisters, Mary Pettyjohn of Dover; Charletta P. Johnson and her husband Sylvester, of Bear; and Lavelda Pettyjohn of Dover; brother, Carlos Pettyjohn of Felton; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, in the Center of Faith, C.O.G.I.C., 120A S. Governors Ave., Dover; where family and friends may view from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Milford Community Cemetery. Contributions may be made in his memory to the church.
