LEWES - Gail Horn Daisey, passed away peacefully in her sister's residence on Friday, June 19, 2009, with her loving family by her side. She was 56. She was born Oct. 26, 1952 in Wilmington, daughter of Harold V. Horn and Jean (Thompson) Horn, both of Wilmington. Ms. Daisey was a registered nurse with 33 years service at Beebe Medical Center, where she worked until three weeks ago, when her health forced her to stay home. She loved the beach, traveling, family and friends. She was most proud of her daughters and their families. She will be remembered for her incredible work ethic, meticulous cleanliness and never having met a stain she couldn't remove. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two daughters, Heather Morgan and her husband Tim of Dover, Tenn., and Shannon Cos and her husband Matt of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren, Colten and Kaitlyn Morgan, and a granddaughter-to-be, Matison Gail Cos; three sisters, Nancy Cirelli and her husband Bob of Lewes, Fawn Freeman and her husband Paul of Clifton, Va., and Kim Ogorek and her husband Pat of Bear; and her fat cat, Sam. Funeral services, with the Rev. Garath Tonnessen officiating, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Pilottown Road, Lewes. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, June 22. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the New Covenant Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 19331 Lighthouse Plaza, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971; or to Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958. www.parsellfuneralhomes.com.
