Frederick Andrew Allen, 71
DOVER - Frederick Andrew Allen of Dover died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 71.
He was born Dec. 4, 1935, in Dover, son of the late Harold and Dorothy Allen.
Mr. Allen was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He worked for General Foods, Dover for 29 years, retiring in 1994.
Mr. Allen enjoyed horse racing and baseball, especially the Phillies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie F. Allen in 1997; a son, Frederick A. Allen Jr. in 1993; and a brother, Harold Allen Jr.
He is survived by three daughters, Pamela A. Merovitz of Wyoming, Donna L. Caruso of Felton and Brenda Lee Allen of Dover; two sons, Scott Allen of Camden and Gary Allen of Dover; a brother, William R. Allen of Dover; three sisters, Mary Davis of Hartly, Dorothy Grace of Dover and Edna Heverin of Smyrna; five grandchildren, Sammy, Andy, Gilly, Francesca and Bianca; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Ethan.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
