Freda Hill Burris

Seaford - Freda Hill Burris died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 in the Renaissance Nursing Home in Millsboro. Born in Seaford, she was the daughter of the late Anna Bahr and William of D.C. Hill. She was a homemaker. She attended St. John's United Methodist Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Burris Jr., in 1997. She is survived by a son, Michael H. Burris of Selbyville; a daughter, Mary Lynne Handy of Seaford; a brother, Gerry Hill of Ft. Myers, Fla.; a sister, Gladys Stevens of Lewes; and three grandsons, Scott, Patrick and Michael Handy. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front & King Sts., Seaford. Burial will be private.
