WYOMING - Fred B. Ellingsworth Jr., of Wyoming, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, in his home. He was 77. He was born on April 12, 1931, in Easton, Md., son of the late Bertha (Gilbert) and Fred B. Ellingsworth Sr. Fred had worked as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed racing, baseball and an avid NASCAR fan, especially Bill Elliott and Jimmy Johnson. He also loved John Wayne movies. Fred was a charter member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lyda (Lock) Ellingsworth; two sons, Fred Ellingsworth and his wife Brenda of Wyoming, and Ed Ellingsworth and his wife Helena of Wyoming; four grandchildren, Don Ellingsworth and his wife Lori of Tampa, Fla., Ashley Ellingsworth and her fiancé Mike Henry of Camden, Chrissy Turbitt and her husband Paul of Dover, Ed Ellingsworth and his wife Suzie of Houston, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Jarod, Jessica, Mandy, and Samantha; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be noon Sunday at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
