BETHEL, Del. - Franklin D. Caudill went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2021. He was born on November 29, 1932.
Frank is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlotte Hardy Caudill; children, Kim Maloney (Tom), Carol Butler (Burt), Jeff Caudill (Patti); stepchildren, Lezlie Downes (Darrell), Kathie Sturgis, David Sturgis; five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Clark & Betty Jo Bramlett; & several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben & Stella Caudill; sisters, Marie, Louise, Leona; & brother, James.
Frank worked at A. I. DuPont in Seaford, Del., for 40 years. He was a member of the Nanticoke Sportsman Club & Seaford Moose. Frank never met a stranger. He was an avid deer hunter & sportsman. He was well-known for his gardening & sharing his produce with friends. Frank loved to dance. He & Charlotte danced most Saturday nights to the music of the Jones Boys who were like family to them.
Services will be on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Sailors Bethel Church in Bethel, Del. Masks will be required. Visitation will be at 1 p.m., service at 2 p.m., conducted by Pastor Bill Nack.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Sailors Bethel Church, PO Box 187, Bethel, DE 19931. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford, Del.
