Frank Joseph Hrupsa, 92 HARRINGTON - Frank Joseph Hrupsa, of Harrington, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, in his home. He was 92. Born Dec. 1, 1915, the son of the late Bartos and Katerin Hrupsa. Mr. Hrupsa was a farmer all of his life. He was a former poultry grower for Pizzadelli and Schiff farms. He was a hard worker, and was never idle. He made sure everyone around him stayed busy as well. He enjoyed growing honey bees and harvesting honey for sale, and was an old fashioned broom maker who fashioned his brooms at local events and gatherings. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who will be sorely missed. Mr. Hrupsa was a member of the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Delaware Farm Bureau, and a former member of the Harrington Moose. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Marie Hrupsa; brothers and sisters, Theresa Komachec, Mary Ritter, Ann Nedelka Frieze, Rudy Hrupsa, Elizabeth C. Gerardi, Charles Hrupsa and a granddaughter, Holly Hrupsa. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Frank G. and Carol Hrupsa of Harrington and David P. Hrupsa of Felton; daughters, Kathryn Gooden of Harrington and Deborah Hrupsa of Harrington; grandchildren, Amy Hrupsa, Laura Gooden-Jopp and her husband Kevin, John Gooden and his wife Stephanie, Billie Jo Hrupsa, James Gooden and his wide Angie, Joseph Hrupsa and Frank C. Hrupsa; and his great-grandchildren, Kody, Robby and Chase Jopp. Funeral services will be 1 p.m Thursday, in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holly Hrupsa Memorial Scholarship Fund, Felton Bank, c/o Susan Welch, P.O. Box 266, Felton, DE 19943; or to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901; or to St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 109 Dixon Street, Harrington, DE 19952.
