FREDERICA - Frank J. Magazu, Sr. 91 of Frederica, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, after a long illness. He was born June 28, 1925 in Gibbstown, New Jersey. After graduating from Paulsboro High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1943 and was a Navy Airplane Mechanic. After his honorable discharge he held a job as a chemical operations inspector for 30 years at Hercules Inc. Mr. Magazu was a member of the Episcopal Church of Clarksboro, N.J. for 10 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Kathleen Blankenship. He is survived by his sister, Angaline Patti; children, Anna Joan Toms and Frank Magazu, Jr.; grandchildren, Kimberly White, Frank Magazu, III, Robert Loth and Cori Coultor and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Milford Community Cemetery, 300 Rehoboth Blvd, Milford, DE 19963.
