MILLSBORO - Frank DiTolvo, 86, entered into eternal life Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, surrounded by his loving family at Green Valley Terrace, Millsboro. He was 86.
Born Nov. 1, 1921, in Hazleton, Pa., to his late parents Michael and Madelina Liberator DiTolvo, Frank had been a resident of Franklin Township, N.J., for many years before settling in Millsboro 23 years ago.
Frank was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after faithfully serving his country during World War II.
He was head custodian for Franklin Township Schools and prior to that, had worked for Johns Manville as a mechanic.
Frank enjoyed his time spent as a life member of the Elizabeth Avenue Fire Department in Somerset, N.J.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his siblings, Rocky, Josephine, Carmen, Joseph, Rose, Mary and Salvatore.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Emma M. Keller DiTolvo; his loving children, daughter, Carol Migliore of Somerset, N.J., and sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Diane DiTolvo and Richard and Debra DiTolvo, all of Millsboro; his dear siblings, Mildred Dziepak of Keyport, N.J. and Emilio DiTolvo of Millsboro; seven cherished grandchildren, Lynn Partington, Beth Velasquez, Sharon Pikula, Laura Kucharik, Christine DiTolvo, Richard DiTolvo and Crystal Heiser; seven adored great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Funeral services were held in Manville, N.J., and Frank was laid to rest at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway, N.J.
