MIDDLETOWN - Frances M. Hitchens passed away Aug. 1, 2012, 11 days short of her 95th birthday on Aug. 12, 2012. She is survived by her son, Michael S. Hitchens (Margaret); son-in-law, William "Smokey" Smith; four grandchildren, Chuck Smith, Joshua, Timothy Hitchens and JoAnna Sheats; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Savannah and Georgia; and two step-great-grandchildren, Callie and Zach. Graveside services will be held privately. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Pauls United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 253, Odessa, DE 19730.
