Frances A. Muller, 88
TOWNSEND - Frances A. Muller of Townsend peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at Christiana Hospital near Newark. She was 88.
Frances was born to the late Charles and Josephine (Kacmarska) Gorney on Oct. 10, 1919, in Long Island, N.Y.
She was married to Frank J. Muller on Aug. 7, 1941, and together they shared 38 years of marriage until his death in August of 1979.
In 1955, Frances and her husband, along with their family, moved to Delaware and operated a potato and vegetable farm.
Frances was the treasurer of the St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society for many years and was an active volunteer at St. Joseph Parish.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Gorney; and three sisters, Rose Halinar, Veronica Craig and Pauline Smatlak.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Cogar and Ginny Kempski and her husband Ronnie all of Delaware; two sons, Frank J. Muller II and James T. Muller and his wife Donna, all of Delaware; nine grandchildren, Joseph Cogar, Laura Cogar-Duckett, Beth Grimm and her husband Bobby, Dawn Francisco and her husband Dennis, Kathy Nattress, Andrew Muller, Kate Muller, James T. Muller II and Sara Muller; seven great-grandchildren, Robert Grimm, Lauren Grimm, Michael Cole, Courtney Cole, Cody Cogar, Justin Cogar and Emily Nattress; and one great-great-granddaughter, Payton Grimm; two brothers, Walter Gorney and Karl Gorney and his wife Karen; four sisters, Agnes Uusitalo, Jenny Armellino, Stella Collery and Caroline Clark and her husband Charles; a much loved brother-in-law, Joseph Halinar and many nieces and nephews throughout the United States.
Mass of Christian burial will be at noon on Wednesday at St. Joseph Church on 321 E. Main St., Middletown.
A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown and interment will be at Old Bohemia Cemetery in Warwick, Md.
