Floyd J. 'Cowboy' Marker, 59

SMYRNA - Floyd J. "Cowboy" Marker of the Delaware Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna, formerly of Camden, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 59.

He was born on Oct. 17, 1948, in Dover, son of the late Henry and Tressa (Hudson) Marker.

Floyd lived his entire life in the Camden-Wyoming area before his illness required him to seek special care.

He enjoyed collecting country-Western music and was affectionately known by the nickname "Cowboy."

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Marker, on Nov. 1, 2007.

He is survived by three sisters, Mary Reed of Dover, Betty Slaughter of Frederica and Linda Fuller of Dover; several nieces, nephews and his extended family of friends and caregivers at the Delaware Home and Hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour before services.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
