Florence Riley

HARRINGTON - Florence (Flo) Riley, 82, formerly of Harrington, died Jan. 27, 2011, at Milford Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Riley was born on May 25, 1928, in Gary, Ind., the daughter of the late George and Louise (Kammerle) Espravnik. Florence was one of four children. She married Rev. Edward Riley in 1943. She and her husband moved from Portage, Ind., to Harrington, in 1979. She was a homemaker. Florence was a member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church and served the Lord in many capacities. She was also a Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling and crafts. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Rev. Edward Riley in 2000; a daughter, Patricia Hinkle, Dec. 8, 2010; her granddaughter, Lori Fannin in 1992; two sisters, Irene Smenyak and Louise Hasara; a brother, George D. Espravnik; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Annika Hinkle. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Elsworth Fannin, Jr. of Milford, Kathy and David Greene of Spring Hill, Tenn., and a son-in-law, Jim Hinkle of Portage, Ind.; six grandchildren, Michael (Cynna) Hinkle, Robert (Kristen) Hinkle, Jennifer Fannin (Fiancee' Delbert Calhoun), Jason (Whitney) Fannin, Tiffany Bishop, and Christian Bishop; seven great-grandchildren, Janae, Michael, Matthew, Jonathan, Brandon, Morgan, Kaeana and Jaidyn; and a great-great-grandson, Caleb. Funeral services will be noon, Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington, DE 19952.
