Ezra G. Brubaker, 99
LITITZ, Pa. - Ezra G. Brubaker, formerly of Lititz; died Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Fairmount Homes Ephrata; following a long illness. Born in Manheim Township, he was the son of the late Jacob S. and Anna Mae Garber Brubaker. Ezra retired in 1978, after working over 12 years in the maintenance department for the Manheim Township School District. He was the owner and operator of his own farm in Penn Township, for many years. Ezra was the husband of the late Esther Shenk Brubaker who died in 2003. He was a member of Landis Valley Mennonite Church Lancaster. His interests included vegetable gardening and reading. Surviving are two sons, Charles S. husband of Chizuko Brubaker of Camden, Glenn S. husband of Vickie Brubaker of Elverson; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Elwood Brubaker of East Petersburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard S. Brubaker; four sisters, Elizabeth Esbenshade, Ethel Brubaker, Anna Mae Sauder, Ruth Brubaker, and two brothers, Henry and Paul Brubaker. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service from the Landis Valley Mennonite Church 2420 Kissel Hill Road Lancaster, on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment in Landisville Mennonite Cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the Landis Valley Mennonite Church on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The Buch Funeral Home Manheim, is in charge of arrangements.
