MILFORD - Evelyn Kathrine Binkowski, of Milford, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008, at home. She was 85.
She was born May 18, 1923, in Girardville, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Mitchell) Savage.
Before retiring, Mrs. Binkowski worked in cleaning and maintenance for 20 years with McGraw-Hill Publishing in Highstown, N.J.
During World War II she helped build B-26 bombers for the Glenn L. Martin Co. in Baltimore, where she was known as "Rosie the Riveter."
She attended St. John's Catholic Church in Milford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent Savage, Albert Savage and Jerome Savage.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John W. Binkowski; three sons, John W. Binkowski Jr. of Inwood, W.Va., Joseph V. Binkowski of Salisbury, Md., and Paul A. Binkowski of Ewing, N.J.; one daughter, Linda M. McAnnaney, of Willingboro, N.J.; two brothers, Joseph Savage of Newton, N.J., and Charles Savage of Langhorne, Pa.; one sister, Rosemarie Belonsoff of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
