Evelyn June (Henry) Tucker, 77
PRESTON, Md. - Evelyn June (Henry) Tucker, of Preston, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, in William Hill Manor, Easton. She was 77.
Mrs. Tucker was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Preston, daughter of the late Levin James and Christina (Schevel) Henry.
She was a cashier for Harmony Markets for over 30 years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking and reading.
Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 70, an active member of the Federalsburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5246 Ladies Auxiliary and a past member of the Preston Board of Elections.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence F. Tucker, on Jan. 14, 1994; a sister, Shirley Baer; and a brother, Levin J. Henry Jr.
She is survived by five daughters, Constance Fletcher of Denton, Barbara Ortt of Easton, Katherine Bullock of Preston, Christina Tryon of Louisville, Ky., and Susan Andrew of Federalsburg; a son, Kevin "Scott" Tucker of Easton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Lord of Seaford and Martha Hopkins of Easton; a brother, William Henry of Cookeville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg.
The Rev. Alan Kieffaber will officiate.
Burial will follow in Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock.
