DOVER - Eva Crawford of Dover passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, in Genesis Milford Center.
Mrs. Crawford was born in Douglas, Ga., daughter of the late Saralina and Ira Crawford.
She attended school in Wilmington.
She previously worked in Philadelphia, London, Conn., and Milford, for private families. She loved the kids she helped raised as her own.
Mrs. Crawford was also very stylish. She loved clothes, shoes and accessories. She would often speak about her custom made clothes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Coverdale; and a son, Donald Coverdale.
She is survived by a son, Brian Coverdale of Smyrna; three sisters, Nell Radon of New Jersey, Alberto May George of Landover, Md., and Mary Ragland of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Roscoe Crawford of Laurel; a daughter-in-law, Diane Cephas; seven grandchildren, Danita Banks, Karen Jones, Andrea Coverdale, Jacqueline Coverdale, Dwayne Coverdale, Brian Coverdale Jr. and Daryl Coverdale; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier.
