LAUREL – Eunice K. (King) Lubiniecki, formerly of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
Eunice was born in Georgetown, daughter of the late Herbert Y. and Ella (Evans) King. She graduated from Sussex Central High School in the Class of 1963.
Eunice worked for many years in the food service industry at the Delaware Tech Canteen. After retiring from Del Tech she was a home daycare provider.
Eunice was an active member of St. Paul's UM Church in Laurel. She loved being outdoors enjoying wildlife, especially watching hummingbirds and squirrels at her backyard bird feeders; eating dinner out with family and friends, going to the beach, crabbing and camping. She dearly loved animals including her dogs and cats.
In addition to her parents; Eunice was preceded in death by two sisters, Amy Carrier and Ellen Pepper.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald L. Lubiniecki; two children, Mike Lubiniecki (Debbie Conway) and Marsha L. Hearn (Eric); a sister, Ann K. Messick; a brother, Norris L. King; seven grandchildren, Amanda "Mandy" Lubiniecki, Alan M. Lubiniecki, Kaylabeth Lubiniecki, Andrew D. Lubiniecki, Scott Hearn, Kyle Hearn and Ryan Hearn; five great grandchildren, Brady J. Brooks, Logan, Dominic, Jacob, Khalid Hearn, and Zion Hearn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, DE 19947. A graveside funeral will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Brandywine Valley SPCA, 22918 Dupont Boulevard, Georgetown, DE 19947.
