Eugene 'Farmer Gene' Louis Kibler, 79

GREENSBORO, Md. - Eugene "Farmer Gene" Louis Kibler, of Greensboro, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at home. He was 79. He was born Dec. 23, 1929, in Greensboro, to the late Anne Marie Bradford. Mr. Kibler was a lifetime resident of the area attending Greensboro High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He was employed with James Julian of Wilmington for 17 years. He went on to produce farming owning and operating Farmer Gene's Produce for many years. He was a charter member of the Greensboro Moose Lodge and a member of the American Legion and St. Benedict-St. Elizabeth Catholic Parish. He is survived by his one son, Gene Kibler of Greensboro; one daughters, Cheryl Seigler of Greensboro; two steps-daughter, Sandra Parrott of Easton and Debbie Arthur of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Donald Baker, Jamie Harris, and Gene Kibler; three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Olivia, and Sydney; half brothers and sisters from the Edge family and eight step grandchildren Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, First Street, Denton. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Greensboro.
