SMYRNA - Estelle L. Zane of Smyrna, Del., passed away at the age of 64 on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 after a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by parents, Howard & Estella M. Zane; sister, Carol A. Burrows; nephew, John Bradford; husband, Earl A. Rollison, Jr.; and brother in Christ, Bill Thompson. She is survived by son, Frederick J. Chase of Smyrna; daughter, Lisa M. Chase of Virginia; Daniel Rollison of Smyrna; and Donald and Richard Rollison of Florida. She is also survived by grandchildren, Fred & Amber Chase, Chris Chase, Emma Evans, Nikki & Nate Arnold, Alisha West, Bobby Miller; and great-granddaughter, Bella West. In addition to raising her family, Estelle was a lifelong bookkeeper who spent 21 years with Brenford Animal Hospital and many years at Faw, Casson & Co., both in Dover. She developed a love for music early in life and along with her dad, was part of the band, Tom & The Country Boys back in the late 60's. Becoming a woman of faith led her in the music path as well where she joined with Sharon Daniels and Bill Thompson and became the Hallelujah Travelers. They ministered in song a combination of bluegrass/country gospel to anyone who requested their presence. In later years, Estelle & Sharon formed the group the Pickin Pals and produced several CD's with the help of long time friend Jimmy Passwaters. Estelle was a long time member of the Smyrna Wesleyan Church where she served in numerous positions. She was treasurer for over nine years and as such, served on the local board of directors. Most recently she served as Praise & Worship Leader, a position that was very dear to her heart. A visitation will be on Tuesday, December, 30, 2014 at 5 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services to celebrate Estelle's life will begin at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please forward any contributions to the Smyrna Wesleyan Church, 433 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
