DOVER - Eric K. Long passed away on January 29, 2023 at home.
Eric was born on August 14, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Diane (Orenstein) and Benjamin Long.
Eric was the owner of E.K. Long General Contractors. Eric loved being a contractor and helping bring his customers visions to life. He enjoyed working on his trucks. Eric also loved watching true crime, drama, cooking and nature shows on television.
Eric is survived his wife and soulmate, Susan Long; his step son, Daniel Guidice and his wife Kellie of Wilmington; his siblings, Jody Grillo and her husband Steven of Long Island, NY, Brian Long and his wife Jocelyn of Dover, Sharon Hughes and her husband Rueben of Harrington, Allison Long of Felton and Craig Long and his wife Della of Felton. Eric is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday. The family requests that masks be worn. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kent County Chapter of the SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934 or to a charity of your choice.
