Eric Christopher Protonentis born on September 5, 1970, departed on January 14, 2021, to begin his journey to the great beyond. He was 50 years young.
He is survived by his brother, Dirk Protonentis; nieces, Paige and Elizabeth Protonentis; nephews, Danze and Steve Protonentis; his aunts, Robin Flaherty and Sarah Motsko; uncles, Jack McLaughlin and Theodore Protonentis; as well as numerous cousins. Eric is also survived by his dear friends, Lori and Matthew Cruz and their children, Jessica Deitrich, Harliegh and Xander Cruz.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Protonentis; and mother, Jackie (McLaughlin) Protonentis.
Memorial services for Eric will be held Saturday January 30, 2021 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934. A gathering of friends and family will begin at 2 p.m. with a private funeral to follow at 3 p.m.
Eric was a graduate of Dover High School and Delaware State University where he received bachelors degrees in Political Science and Education.
Eric impacted so many lives. He loved kids, animals, gaming, and food. He was an amazing person who would bend over backwards to help anyone in need. He had the patience of a saint. He departed this adventure into his new one as he did everything; on his own terms.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ComicBooks For Kids! in Eric's name. A charity that provides comic books to children in hospitals and cancer centers.
