DENTON, Md. - Emma Gertrude Parry of Denton died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, in Caroline Nursing Home, Denton. She was 99.
Mrs. Parry was born July 26, 1908, in Bethlehem, Pa., daughter of late George E. and Ellen (Treubler) Trone
She moved to the area in September 2002, coming from Tallmadge, Ohio, where she resided for 12 years. She was a resident of Columbiana, Ohio, for eight years prior to Tallmadge.
Mrs. Parry was a member of the Denton Church of the Nazarene.
She enjoyed taking care of her home, doing crafts and cooking.
Mrs. Parry was enrolled in the Caroline County Adult Medical Daycare.
One of her primary joys was to pray regularly for family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Parry Sr., in 1989; and her son, Archie Norman Parry, in 1988.
She is survived by four sons, Robert T. Parry Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla., Ralph Parry of Mesa, Ariz., Pastor Harold "Hal" Parry of Denton, and Ronald Parry of Homeland, Calif.; three daughters, Beatrice James of Las Vegas, Shirley O"Brien of Largo, Fla., and Joyce Brown of Peoria, Ariz.; two brothers, Harvey Trone of Camp Hill, Pa., and Charles Trone of Trexlertown, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Denton Church of the Nazarene, 10660 Greensboro Road, where services will follow. Graveside burial will be 1 p.m. Monday in Bethlehem (Pa.) Memorial Park.
