Emily Jean North, 80

SMYRNA - Emily Jean North of Smyrna entered into God"s eternal care Thursday, June 21, 2007, in Courtland Manor Convalescent Home, Dover. She was 80.

Mrs. North was born on Oct. 19, 1926, in Baltimore, daughter of the late Henry Rawlings Dulin and Mattie Woodward Dulin.

She and her husband, Richard C. North Jr. lived in Claymont for 29 years before moving to Smyrna 23 years ago.

Mrs. North was a homemaker and attended Faith Community Church, Camden.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Stanley.

She is survived by her husband, Richard C. North Jr.; a son, Jeffrey R. North and his wife, Barbara of Littlestown, Pa.; two sisters, Shirley Daughtery and her husband, Reah of Smyrna and Betty Lou Simon an her husband, Joseph of Red Hill, Pa.; four grandchildren, Francis North, Benjamin North, Beverly Jane Carpenter and Terri North; and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Paige Carpenter.

Funeral services will be private.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810; or Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Highway, Camden, DE 19934.
