Emanuel Pritchett Jr. 'Buddy', 83 BIRDGEVILLE - Emanuel Pritchett Jr. "Buddy", went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 2, 2010. He was 83. Born in Williston near Denton, Md. April 8, 1926, Buddy was the son of the late Emanuel Pritchett Sr. and Emma Hignutt. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta L. Pritchett in 1981; and his sister, Anna Hignutt. Buddy was a World War II Navy Veteran. He retired from E.I. DuPont in Seaford in 1984, after 37 years. After retirement, he was employed by R&M Buses in Bridgeville for 19 years. Buddy's love for the outdoors and his love for his family were expressed through his gardening and canning of his vegetables for his family. Mr. Pritchett is survived by his wife, Paula Pritchett of Bridgeville; his daughter, Christine L. Weaber of Greenwood; his sons, Ronald E. Pritchett of Laurel, Larry M. Pritchett of Somerset, N.J., Kevin L. Pritchett of Bridgeville, Adolf Lederer of Greensboro, Ky. and William Lederer of Federalsburg, Md.; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, March 6, at the Crossroad Community Church, Georgetown, where friends may call one hour before the service. The interment will be private. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, to send memorial donations to the Crossroad Community Church for their Benevolent Fund, 20684 St. Forest Rd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
