Elvira (Marvel) Wilkins, 98

GEORGETOWN - Elvira (Marvel) Wilkins, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, in Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 98. She is survived by her son, Wayne G. Wilkins and his wife Doris; her daughter, Nellie Brittingham; her daughter-in-law, Jane Lynn Wilkins; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Manean B. Marvel Jr. and his wife Grace; and her sister, Lettie Hurley. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, with Pastor Steve Uhthoff officiating. Burial was at Union Cemetery, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
