Elsie R. Heller, 91

DOVER - Elsie R. Heller, of Dover, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 91. She was born Jan. 2, 1917, in Templeville, Md., to the late Stephen and Julia Bruncz Roth. Elsie met and married Henry Heller in 1942, and they lived happily together in Dover for 63 years. She was a member of and past president of the Dover Lioness Club 22D. Also a member and past president of the Dover Lions Club 22D. She was the first woman selected to be a Melvin Jones Fellow by District 22D Lions Club. Mrs. Heller worked for Capital School District as a cafeteria manager for 32 years. Flowers, gardening, and her dogs brought her great joy. Many will remember her for her generous spirit in sharing the bounty of her garden with others. She is survived by her daughter; two granddaughters and their families. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Friends may also call Wednesday one hour before the time of the service at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Dover Lions Club P.O.
