Elmer C. Leggs Jr.

GREENWOOD - Elmer C. "Junior" Leggs Jr formerly of Seaford, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford. Junior was born Feb. 16, 1928 in Laurel, Del. to the late Elmer C. Leggs Sr and Agnes Hastings Leggs. He served proudly in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. Junior was an auto mechanic, working for Cannon Motors and Fredrick Ford. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was quite a swimmer in his early years. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; three children Randy and Steve Leggs, and Sherry Scanlon; two step-daughters Sandra Andrews and Bonnie Dobraski, one sister Edith Walton; and three brothers Roscoe, Ronald, and Charles Leggs. He is survived by a step-daughter Charlotte Fleischauer and her husband Greg of Greenwood, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, 12 noon, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, Del. 19950. Family and friends may call one hour prior. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood, Del.
