WYOMING - Elizabeth "Betty" Webb Palmer, 84, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2016. She was born on November 11, 1931 in Milford, to the late John and Mary Webb. Elizabeth was a farmer at heart. She loved talking to people about T.A. Farms and was always trying to sell someone a turkey. Elizabeth worked at the Department of Agriculture and also Carroll's sale, but her love was the farm. She enjoyed talking to the customers, whether they were buying strawberries or mums. She could tell Danny that a cow was in distress from looking out her back door. Elizabeth loved Delaware 4-H and was an active 4-Her, a leader and a member of the 4-H Links. She also enjoyed 4-H camp and was the first camper to earn the Spirit Award. She also loved the Delaware State Fair and was one of its first exhibitors in the beef department. Through 2015, she attended the fair each year. Elizabeth was a member of the Willow Run Ruritanettes and loved attending their Christmas party. She also enjoyed going to auctions and riding on her golf cart, checking on her neighbors. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late H. Clifton Palmer, loving mother of Daniel (Sandy), proud grandmother of Justin (fiancé Heather), Brian (Katie) and Elizabeth Carter (Alex). She cherished her three great grandchildren, Caroline, Camren and Bailey and always wanted to know what they were doing and when they were coming to visit. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Webb (Lois) and Ellen (the late Ed) Cooper. Service will be 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Delaware 4-H Foundation, 113 Townsend Hall, 531 South College Ave., Newark, DE 19716-2210.
