DOVER - Elizabeth J. Little, of Dover, died Feb. 22, 2009, at Courtland Manor Nursing Home. She was 107. Mrs. Little was born Feb. 23, 1902, in Lewes, to the late Irvin S. Lynch and Jancy Bartlett Lynch. During World War II she worked in a Powder Plant. After the war she concentrated on being a homemaker. Mrs. Little was a life member of the Little Creek Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was past president and charter member. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Camden 3238 and the Little Creek Methodist Church. Mrs. Little enjoyed crocheting, gardening flowers and vegetables. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Little Sr. in August 1973; and her sons, Edward R. Little Jr. and John Little. Mrs. Little is survived by her two sons, Stanley C. Little and his friend Elizabeth Porter of Felton, and Irving "Mickey" Little and his wife Shirley of Little Creek; daughter-in-law, June Little of Harrington; eight grandchildren, Stanley C. Little Jr., Irving W. Little Jr., Terry B. Little, Michael S. Little, Holly Little, Larry Little, Susan Scarbourgh, and Anita Gery; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
