BRIDGEVILLE - Elizabeth Cross of Bridgeville died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, in Ruxton Health of Denton, Md. She was 88.
Mrs. Cross was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Bridgeville, daughter of the late William and Mary Wallace.
She was a lifelong resident of Bridgeville, and attended the Bridgeville School.
She later married and was a homemaker, raising her four beloved children, and later, became a seven-year resident of Ruxton Health. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Mrs. Cross was a life member of New Liberty Wesleyan Church, Federalsburg, Md.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, Jan. 5, 1976; and a newborn daughter, Kathleen.
She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Leon and Dee Cross of Seaford; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Louise and Ronald "Donald" Kemp of Rhodesdale, Md., Irene and Glen Zedney of Newark, and Linda and Robert Reid of York, Pa.; a half-brother, Lawrence Wallace of Bridgeville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in New Liberty Wesleyan Church, 28414 Bridgeville Road, Federalsburg. The Rev. Timothy Wilson will officiate.
Burial will be in Bridgeville Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the New Liberty Wesleyan Church, 28414 Bridgeville Road, Federalsburg, MD 21632.
