Elizabeth A. Reuter

DOVER - Surrounded by her devoted family, Elizabeth (Betty) A. Reuter passed away on Dec. 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose Whaley; and her brother, Charles Whaley Jr.
Elizabeth is survived by her four children, Carole Pearce, Kenneth Reuter Jr., Bernadette Bourque and Steven Reuter. She has thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Betty, a resident of Dover since 1963, was retired from General Foods Corporation. She loved music and played guitar and piano. As a teenager, she performed in an orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Family gatherings always included music and singing. Her knowledge of the lyrics to old songs amazed her family. Betty loved life. She helped many people in need and will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends may visit 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover. Funeral Services will be 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. on Dec. 19, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital www.stjude.org/donate and Delaware Hospice www.delawarehospice.org/donate.
