Edward T. Kassick, 92
Edward T. Kassick to the late, Anna and John Kassick, and passed on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was one of eleven children.
Edward joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1945 at the age of 16. After serving 31 years with the USCG, he then worked on the Cape May - Lewes Ferry for 17 years.
At the age of 20, he married Geraldine Fisher of Lewes, Del. Together they raised five children, Annette Adams of Seaford, Del., Thomas Kassick Jr. of Maine, Rita Thorpe of Fenwick Island, Del., Glen Kassick of Seaford, and Teresa Vance of Cape May, N.J. They also had 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Family was everything to Ed. He enjoyed sharing time with his family. He had a great time in Northport Florida at his winter home. He enjoyed all different types of food and loved to cook. His other passion was his gardening skills. He enjoyed an amazing life and loved sharing his life experiences with everyone. His favorite quote was, "Never stop moving".
A Memorial Service and interment will be at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 1 p.m., where he will be laid to rest with his dear wife. The cemetery is adhering to the Delaware guidelines of occupancy limits, social distancing, and masks.
