Edward Lee Rust, 70
HARRINGTON - Edward Lee Rust passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus. He was born in Milford, the son of the late Norman and Edith (Joseph) Rust.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., serving in Vietnam from 1970 to 1972 as a combat engineer and demo expert.
He worked for Ed Wilkerson and Emil Callo as a mason. He enjoyed his job along with gardening and yard work.
Edward was a member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church in Harrington.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Lee Rust.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Daisey) Rust; son, Herbert Tisher, III; father-in-law, Robert Daisey; brothers, Wayne, George, Kermit and John Rust; sisters, Becky Layton and Lois Hudson; three grandchildren, Nate Smith, Jack and Ryan Tisher; one great grandchild, Jayden Lee Smith; and sister-in-laws, Belinda Cybak (Roman) and Robbin Daisey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will be in Oakley Cemetery, Ellendale. Masks required.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
