GREENWOOD - Edward Charles Warnick passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Valerie Shahan Warnick; and his three children, Ashley Heuchling (Scott), Blake Warnick, and Wade Warnick (Samantha); and his three grandchildren, Ava, Logan and Zane. He is also survived by his two sisters, Barbara Ann Bunting (John) and Bonnie Jean Kenton (Harvey). He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Walter Warnick and Mary Hazel Pearson Warnick.
Ed grew up in the little-big town of Greenwood, Del. and was a graduate of Woodbridge High-school. Class of 1976. He married the love of his life on February 13, 1983.
He supported his family at various construction positions in the Greenwood area but his passion was working and toiling on the farm with his family.
His hobbies included growing hay, deer hunting, spending time with his family, collecting rocks, and putting his toes in the sand. For many years he assisted his wife with the training and racing of Standardbred racehorses.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Tressler Mennonite Church. Viewing will take place from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with a meal after. Burial will follow in the adjoining churchyard.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Tressler Mennonite Church, 13371 Wolf Rd., Greenwood, DE 19950.
