Edward 'Ed' A. Steelman, 77

SEAFORD - Edward "Ed" A. Steelman, of Seaford, died on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008. He was 77. Mr. Steelman retired from the Dupont Plant in Seaford in 1989. He also hand his own radio and television repair business. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford and the Moose Lodge in Seaford. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Victoria "Vicki" Steelman; a son, Raymond "Allen" Steelman and his wife Diana; a daughter, Julia "Julie" Dorr and her husband Terry; a brother, Donald Steelman; a sister, Gail Amemiya; four grandchildren, Diana Melson, Sherrie McKinley, Jamie Steelman and Nancy Dorr; and four great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 Stein Hwy, Seaford. Friends may call at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St., on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Delaware Hospice Inc, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or Our Lady of Lourdes Church, P O Box 719, Seaford, DE 19973.
