Edward A. Fountain

Smyrna - Edward Aaron Fountain, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 at home.
Mr. Fountain was the son of the late Leroy and Louise (Dixon) Fountain. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Fountain retired from the State of Delaware as a patient transporter for DHCI. He enjoyed doing puzzles and loved flowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daymon Fountain; brothers, William (Bill) Summers, Robert Fountain, Thomas Fountain, and Clarence Fountain; sisters, Blanch Wisher and Grace Fountain.
Mr. Fountain is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Evelyn G. (Gardley) Fountain; children, Rhonda Mosley of Frederica, Twyla Fountain of Lewes, Edward A. Fountain, Jr., Darryl K. Fountain and Lance L. Fountain, all of Smyrna; grandchildren, Shana Mosley, Preston C. Mosley, Jr., Damon A. Mosley, Sr., Tira L. Johnson, Donnell F. Fountain, Dominique Mears, Nile Gillis, Taschica N. Moore, Damon Gillis and Ashley Dukes; sister, Betty Wisher Hartly; 21 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2018 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where friends may view one-hour prior. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
