Edmon "Eddie" Sindall Hurtt Gould, 58

KENNEDYVILLE, Md. - Edmon "Eddie" Sindall Hurtt Gould of Woodland Hall, Kennedyville died June 25, 2007, in his sister"s home. He was 58.

Mr. Gould was born March 18, 1949, son of the late William Dunbar and Mary Woodland Westcott Gould.

He was a lifetime resident of Kent County, where he actively participated with the Special Olympics through Angels Haven and Kent Center.

Between the ages of 7 and 21, he attended the Vineland Training School in Vineland, N.J.

Mr. Gould was also active with the Boy Scouts, had many hobbies related to the outdoors and enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Woodland Tan and her husband, William, of Rockville, and Margaret Anne Cummings and her husband, David Joseph III, of Kennedyville; nieces and nephews, Ana Rebecca Klenz and her husband, Michael, Mary Eugenia Tan and her husband, James Prendergast, William C. Cummings and his wife, Lisa Long Cummings, David Joseph Cummings IV and his fiancée, Rachel Lynn Holding, and Marti Gould Cummings; great-nieces and nephews, Brianna Nicole Cummings, Faith Anne Cummings, Anika Jade Klenz, Christian W. Prendergast, Kevin Michael Schaefer, Katlyn Cummings, Isabelle Alexis Cummings, Wyatt Andrew Cummings and C.J. Long.

Friends may call from noon-6 p.m. Friday in Woodland Hall, 13111 Shallcross Wharf Road, Kennedyville.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Shrewsbury Parish Church, Kennedyville. Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Kent Center Inc., Special Olympics, 215 Scheeler Road, Chestertown, MD 21620; or The Woodland Hall Memorial fund for the preservation of Woodland Hall, c/o Mercantile Eastern Shore Bank, 211 High St., Chestertown, MD 21620.
