Edith LaVerne Langford, 80 EAST NEW MARKET, Md. - Edith LaVerne Kraft Langford passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at her home in East New Market. She was 80. She was born on July 13, 1929, in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Theodore Kraft and Virgie Dunnock Kraft. She was a lab technician at St. Frances Hospital Catholic Hospital, and later taught school for many years in the state of Delaware. She loved to garden, going out to eat, and bird watching. She was a member of the Delaware Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tim" Langford of East New Market; a sister, Sally Jane Hessler and her husband, Edward of East New Market; two nieces, Donna Bailey and her husband Wayne of Federalsburg, and Brenda Era and her husband Harvey of East New Market; four great nieces, Angela Bailey, Rachael Bailey, Jessica Era and Julie Era; and two great-nephews, Christopher Bailey and Stephen Era. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 17, at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with the Reverend Ruth Tull officiating. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Share memories with the family at www.framptom.com.
