Edgar Charles Harrington

HOUSTON - Edgar "Eddie" Charles Harrington passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pa.
Edgar was born in West Chester, Pa. the son of Shelby W. and Barbara (Grey) Harrington. He worked for many years as a meat cutter at Food Lion grocery store in Harrington. Before that, he worked, since high school, as a carpenter building custom and regular homes. He also enjoyed building custom, one of a kind cabinets. Edgar was always pushing himself to learn more. He was a member at one time of Delmarva Poultry Fanciers Club. He raised show chickens and was quite successful, with one or more chickens on champion row.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, who raised and mentored him.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Robin (Donnell) Harrington; step-son, Chris; step-daughter, Vicki; a granddaughter, Shelbi the apple of his eye; a grandson, Hunter; and granddaughter, Krysta; two brothers, Shawn and Mike; one niece, nephews and several cousins.
A Celebration of Edgar's Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Rudy's Restaurant, 17064 South DuPont Highway, Harrington. Appetizers will be served.
