REHOBOTH BEACH - Earl Clarence Tuberson of Rehoboth Beach died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, in the Greater Southeast Community Hospital, Washington. He was 83.
Born in Ridgway, Pa., he graduated from St. Mary"s High School, St. Mary"s, Pa., in 1942.
Earl served in the U.S. Army during World War II and following that he attended and graduated from Penn State University.
He taught night school for a few years in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where he met Ruth Ann Leonard.
Following their marriage in 1954, they moved to Dallas for several years and then moved to Wilmington, where Earl worked for the state of Delaware as a state planner.
Upon retirement for the state Earl and Ruth moved in 1986 to White House Beach in Millsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. and Edith Tuberson; and his wife, Ruth in 1996.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert J. Tuberson and his wife, Griselda of Virginia Beach, Va., William E. Tuberson Sr. and his wife, Fern of Ridgway, Pa.; a sister, Alice M. Kieffer of Topeka, Kan.; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro.
Burial will be privately held at a later date in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery South, Millsboro.
