SEAFORD - E. Marie Valliant of Seaford died Sunday, March 4, 2007, in her home. She was 91.
Mrs. Valliant was born in Laurel, daughter of the late Nellie Scott and Edwin S. Valliant.
She was a clerk-typist at the DuPont Co., Seaford before retiring in 1971, after 29 years of service.
Mrs. Valliant was a life member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the altar guild and served as the secretary of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roderique William Rohas, in 1974; a half-sister, Mary Faith Horsey; and an aunt, Nancy Jones.
She is survived by stepsons, Richard R. Rohas of Richmond, Va. and Charles Parker of St. Petersburg, Fla.; step-daughters, Darl Culver of Seaford, Catherine Buck of Los Angeles and Jackie Vroman of Spokane, Wash.; eight step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Front Street, Seaford. The Rev. Jeanne W. Kirby will officiate; burial will be private.
Reception will follow in St. Luke's fellowship hall.
